Women in Transport is excited to announce a renewal of their partnership with FM Conway, an industry leader with 60 years’ experience and expertise in delivering innovative, sustainable construction solutions. Their Net Zero strategy sets out their roadmap for reducing carbon across FM Conway by 2045.
FM Conway is committed to putting people first and extending their reach into the most diverse talent pools. This is reinforced by their pledge to attain a 30% female workforce by 2030.
Dal Kalirai, interim CEO at Women in Transport, expressed enthusiasm about the renewal of the partnership, stating:
"We are elated by the renewal of our partnership with FM Conway, which promises unprecedented opportunities to support our Women in Transport members. This collaboration aims to cultivate a vibrant community that not only empowers but also propels women forward in the dynamic landscape of the industry."
Ellie Stevenson, Diversity & Inclusion Manager at FM Conway, added:
“We are proud to announce that we have renewed our partnership with Women in Transport, an organisation that empowers women in the industry to maximise their potential.
Women and girls make up 51% of the UK population, with the female employment rate at 72.3%, however women remain underrepresented in the Transport sector – accounting for only 26% of workers.
As a member of Women in Transport, we have pledged our support and commitment to promoting equity, diversity and inclusion in the transport sector and advancing the professional development of women working in transport.
We are proud to be a part of this fantastic group of organisations, all working towards our common goal of empowering women to thrive in every workplace and situation.”
