About the North West Hub
An inclusive and collaborative community for women in transport and their allies in the North West of England.
The hub launched in January 2023 with the generous support of Taylor Woodrow.
Speaking about the purpose of the hub, Women in Transport’s North West Regional Lead, Joanna Hill, said:
“We want to create a place of support, learning and friendship for women in transport and their allies in the North West. A place where we can network, learn, embed best practices, remove barriers, celebrate our successes and share our experiences in a respectful, non-judgemental environment.”
Our Vision
The hub will unite Women in Transport members of every gender and background through an annual calendar of virtual and in-person events in the North West region. This will supplement the broader calendar of Women in Transport events and opportunities, expanding the reach of this fantastic network. Some events will also be open to non-members as we build the membership base in the region.
In the longer term, the North West Hub will engage with a wide range of regional businesses to identify the barriers to equitable workplaces and host courageous conversations that promote change and raise organisational standards to ensure everyone can thrive.
Collaboration Opportunities
The North West Hub is keen to collaborate with organisations and networks that want to empower women in the industry to maximise their potential. We’d like to work with organisations and individuals who are eager to showcase their regional talent, topple barriers, and create best practice business as usual for workplace equity.
