Transport’s Gender Challenge and the Future of the Industry

We are delighted to be hosting an event on International Women’s Day entitled ‘Transport’s gender challenge and the future of the industry’.

We will hear the thoughts of key parliamentarians and leading industry figures about the impact of female underrepresentation on transport’s many sectors, and how we can navigate towards a more equitable and sustainable industry.

The event will feature keynote speeches from:

• Tan Dhesi MP, Shadow Minister for the Railways

We are delighted to be celebrating International Women's Day with the launch of our groundbreaking research. Our whitepaper on the ‘Gender Perceptions and Experiences Working in Transport' aims to to provide a better understanding of women working in the transport industry and share best practice on the recruitment, retention and progression of women working in the sector. This virtual event will be hosted by Ruth Cadbury MP, Chair of the All-Party Parliamentary Group for Women in Transport.

We’re delighted Nusrat Ghani MP, Parliamentary Under Secretary of State at the Department of Transport, will be the keynote speaker at our summer reception hosted by Chair of the All-Party Parliamentary Group for Women in Transport, Ruth Cadbury MP.   The event will celebrate women in the sector and consider how we inspire the next generation during the Year of Engineering.
