Transport’s Gender Challenge and the Future of the Industry

We are delighted to be hosting a virtual event on International Women’s Day entitled ‘Transport’s gender challenge and the future of the industry’.

We will hear the thoughts of key parliamentarians and leading industry figures about the impact of female underrepresentation on transport’s many sectors, and how we can navigate towards a more equitable and sustainable industry.

The event will feature keynote speeches from:

• Wendy Morton MP, Minister of State for Transport

• Tan Dhesi MP, Shadow Minister for the Railways

There will also be comment and discussion from industry leaders, including:

• Jo Field, President of Women in Transport

• Sue Terpilowski, Chair of the Women in Maritime Network

• Sumati Sharma, Partner at Oliver Wyman, and Founder & Co-Chair of the ‘Women in Aviation & Aerospace Charter’

• Julia Muir, Founder of Automotive 30% Club

• Christine Fernandes, Chair of Women in Rail

• Kate Jennings, Policy Director, Railway Industry Association
