Women in Transport is delighted to announce that our valued partner, ALBUM (the Association of Local Bus Managers), has renewed its partnership with us. ALBUM is a distinguished organisation that creates networking opportunities for bus industry professionals, including operators and suppliers, which allows the sharing of best practices, experience, and practical support. ALBUM engages in government consultations affecting the bus industry and recently delivered its 2024 Policy Plans at its highly regarded and well-attended annual conference
Dal Kalirai, Interim CEO of Women in Transport, expressed her enthusiasm about the renewal:
"We are thrilled that ALBUM has renewed its partnership with us, reaffirming our shared mission to build a strong network and community within the transport sector that can make a real impact. This partnership renewal includes collaboration across a number of key projects for Women in Transport including our Diversity and Inclusion Bus Group, the Advance mentoring programme and our 2024 Equity Index. The invaluable support of ALBUM is helping us support gender equity in transport nationally and make a positive impact across the sector as a whole. We look forward to our continued collaboration and the promising future ahead."
Bill Hiron, Chairman of ALBUM, also shared his thoughts:
"ALBUM is proud to continue working with Women in Transport. Their commitment to diversity and inclusion in the bus industry aligns well with our objectives. We are excited to collaborate on initiatives that will drive positive change and support the development of a more equitable industry. Together, we can achieve more and positively impact the future of transport. Last year, our partnership provided multiple memberships to ALBUM operators and allowed one of our members from Warrington's Own Buses to take part in the mentorship programme. We were also delighted to have WIT speakers at our 2023 and 2024 Annual Conference. This year, we have even more collaborative plans to support ALBUM members alongside WIT , including webinars and special events."
