When did you join Women in Transport?
November 2023.
Why did you join Women in Transport?
I wanted to be part of this community, have only been in transport a couple of years and a few of my peers mentioned it. Looked like great events, opportunities and connections.
What do you enjoy most about being part of Women in Transport?
Friendships built, events and meetings with the wider community.
Current job title
Business development and events manager.
What does your current job involve?
I liaise with corporates in the transport industry to get them to support the work we do at Campaign for Better Transport (the only charity in the UK covering all transport modes, putting pressure on the government to do the right things). I manage a lot of events as well as get to attend many and speak at some.
What's the best thing about your job?
Attending events, it’s a really good environment in the transport world.
How did you become involved in the transport industry?
Came across a startup doing DRT and I thought that would be interesting. This got me into sustainability in general.
What do you like about working in transport?
The community, very different to my previous industries
What are you most proud of?
Campaigning for transport that is accessible and reliable.
