Advance 2022 - An Introduction to the Women in Transport Mentoring Programme
Our work at Women in Transport includes continuing the legacy of the 100 Years of Women in Transport campaign and one of the key initiatives is providing opportunities for personal development and career progression at all levels.
Our Advance programme offers structured, professional mentoring for women working in transport.
Launched in 2017, the programme is now in its fourth year and has supported 190 mentees and mentors to date. Advance is entirely funded through corporate sponsorship and offered at no additional cost to our members. The programme is open to any woman working in transport, in any discipline and at any stage of their career. Mentors are a diverse cohort of manager level or above, working in transport, regardless of gender.
Mentoring can be a powerful tool for your professional development but it also requires self-awareness, time and commitment from both parties.
This open event is an opportunity to meet some of our Advance mentors and mentees and hear their experience of mentoring. The benefits as well as the challenges, realities and practicalities - the "good, bad and the ugly".
Come along and hear more from our alumni and ask any questions you have in a safe and inclusive forum.
This event is open to non-members so please do invite your colleagues if this topic is of interest.
We look forward to talking to you there.
