Current job title
Consultant Director for the Lead Programme and Intersectionality
What does your current job involve?
I design and facilitate leadership development programmes, intersectionality initiatives including the Women in Transport Podcast and our campaigns (Motherhood Penalty, Menopause and Intergenerational Workforces), and engagement strategies across the transport sector. My role involves working closely with organisations to create inclusive leadership pathways, supporting underrepresented voices, and driving meaningful change.
What's the best thing about your job?
The best thing about my job is seeing people grow in confidence and capability. I love creating spaces where individuals feel heard, empowered, and equipped with the tools to lead authentically. The impact of this work, especially in a sector like transport, is incredibly rewarding.
How did you become involved in the transport industry?
My journey into transport was driven by a passion for people and engagement. I started by working at the London Transport Museum, leading their STEM programme and managing STEM Ambassadors across TfL after this I got the transport and infrastructure bug. I have worked in Transport, Engineering and Infrastructure ever since.
What do you like about working in transport?
The transport industry is dynamic, impactful, and constantly evolving. I love that it connects people, influences communities, and plays a crucial role in daily life. The sector is also full of opportunities to shape policies and initiatives that make transport more accessible and inclusive.
What are you most proud of?
I am most proud of the work I’ve done in leadership development, particularly through the Lead Programme. Seeing individuals grow, take on new opportunities, and step into leadership roles is incredibly fulfilling. I am also proud of the intersectionality work I’ve championed, ensuring that the transport sector becomes more inclusive for all. Hosting the Women in Transport podcast has been a highlight—providing a platform to share diverse voices, amplify important conversations, and celebrate the incredible contributions of women across the industry.
Why did you join Women in Transport?
I joined to support and empower women in the transport industry, to broaden my network, and to contribute to meaningful change within the sector.
What do you enjoy most about being part of Women in Transport?
I enjoy the sense of community, the inspiring stories from fellow members, and the opportunity to influence positive developments in the industry.
