Why did you join Women in Transport?
Initially as a mentor on the Advance Mentoring Programme but then I got more involved in events and networking.
What do you enjoy most about being part of Women in Transport?
Working with such a great bunch of people, all of whom help me to learn new things and understand different perspectives.

What does your current job involve?
I run a small consultancy delivering project management and engineering services in the rail sector as well as business and personal coaching services.
What's the best thing about your job?
The people I get to meet. I am fortunate to work and socialise with a wide variety of people in my role and it makes the job very rewarding.
How did you become involved in the transport industry?
I was a signalling apprentice with London Underground in 1981 and have stayed in the industry ever since.
What do you like about working in transport?
It's such a varied industry and I am lucky that my career has taken me in many different directions and on some great (though sometimes challenging) journeys.
What are you most proud of?
Being told by my daughter that she was proud of what I was doing with Women in Transport and STEM and that it had given her confidence to pursue her chosen career.
