Women in Transport is delighted to launch applications for Advance 2023 - the sixth year of our mentoring programme designed for Women in Transport members by women in transport.
Women in Transport supports the legacy of the 100 Years of Women in Transport campaign by providing opportunities for personal development and career progression at all levels. Our Advance programme offers structured, professional mentoring for women working in transport.
The annual programme is open anyone who identifies as a woman working in transport, in any discipline and at any stage of their career. Mentors can be manager level or above, working in transport, regardless of gender. Applications for Advance 2023 are open to Women in Transport members only.
Our mentoring programme is virtual providing flexibility for matching mentees and mentors. Both mentees and mentors will receive training to prepare for a successful mentoring relationship. Peer to peer networking and support is also provided during the programme.
Advance 2023 has been made possible by the generous support of TXM Group, Xanta, Network for Skills, National Express and WSP. This sponsorship allows our members to access invaluable mentoring support external to their organisation without any additional costs. We are particularly grateful to TXM Group and Xanta who have supported the Advance programme for six consecutive years.
“TXM Group is incredibly proud to support the Advance mentoring programme for the sixth consecutive year. It’s been a real privilege to support this rewarding programme from both a company and personal perspective. Mentoring is a gift, the key that unlocks potential. To give someone your time to grow, develop and to overcome a challenge, simply by passing on the parcel of knowledge is a true privilege.”
Gary Lincoln, Group Director, TXM Group
“The events of recent years have proven the need for us all to support each other and provide help and guidance where we can. Advance is just one of the ways that Women in Transport is creating connections for women to make the most of their career opportunities and work/life balance.”
Matthew Regan, Director, Xanta
“I am so proud of our Advance mentoring programme, it has helped us build incredibly rewarding relationships with our members, strengthen our network and make a real difference to the professional development of our members. I look forward to reading this year’s applications and meeting our Advance 2023 mentees and mentors.”
Sonya Byers, CEO, Women in Transport
