Women in Transport South-West Regional Hub Launch
The Power of Networks, a self-help strategy
To mark the launch of Women in Transport’s new Regional Hub in the South-West, sponsored by engineering and professional services firm WSP, we have designed an event to raise awareness of the benefits of networking.
Since we were all forced into a degree of isolation by Lockdown, there is an increasing appetite within business, to re-engage with people, building relationships with clients and fellow professionals. But not everyone feels comfortable networking. Some see having to meet new people as a threat, but should we see it as a form of therapy?
Networking creates opportunities to increase your awareness around current topics, exchange information and ideas, share insights, meet new clients, business contacts, even future employers. Let our discussion inspire you. It will be a great opportunity to practice those networking skills in a safe and supportive environment, meeting new, like-minded professionals.
The agenda for the morning is:
9:30 Doors Open and Registration
10:00 Welcome and launch

About the South-West Regional Hub of Women in Transport
The South-West region is the latest to establish a regional hub for Women in Transport, the non-for-profit organisation that empowers women in industry to maximise their potential. The hub is open-to-all; but has been established in partnership with WSP to enable a community of professionals from Cornwall to Gloucester, and South Wales to Hampshire to access more local networks, events and professional development programmes without needing to travel across the country.
This event is open to non-members.
