TfL’s Vision for Bus Cab Design
This month, TfL published a vision document on the new bus driver’s cab design, which directly references our work. The document outlines seven key aims that we, as an industry, should all be striving towards. These aims focus on improving safety, comfort, accessibility, and overall working conditions for drivers—essential factors in creating an environment where all drivers can thrive. Continuing the Conversation: National Forum on April 3, 2025
D&I Bus Group members will remain actively involved in shaping the future of driver cab design. A national forum (virtual), hosted by TfL on Thursday, April 3, 2025, will provide an excellent opportunity to continue this conversation. The event will bring together key stakeholders to discuss:
- Safety and inclusivity improvements in cab design
- Recruitment challenges and how better design can help attract a diverse workforce
- Latest research and progress updates from industry experts
We’re also pleased to share that our colleague and Inclusive Cab Design workstream lead, Caroline Ward, will be presenting at the forum.
