Women in Transport is thrilled to announce the renewal of our corporate partnership with TfL (Transport for London), our founding partner. With a successful history of collaboration spanning 19 years, TfL serves as the integrated transport authority responsible for fulfilling the Mayor of London’s strategy and commitments on transport in the city. This includes overseeing the day-to-day operation of the Capital's public transport network and managing London's main roads.
TfL has played a pivotal role in working with Women in Transport to diversify and strengthen its workforce, demonstrating a steadfast commitment to attracting more women and young people to the transport industry.
Sonya Byers, CEO at Women in Transport, expressed her enthusiasm about the partnership renewal, stating:
"We are absolutely delighted by the renewal of our partnership with Transport for London, and eagerly look forward to hosting a collaborative event with them in celebration of International Women’s Day on Friday, 8th March. As a founding partner, TfL have been an indispensable part of our journey from the outset, serving as a cornerstone within our community. We are enthusiastic about the exciting possibilities that lie ahead as we continue to forge this enduring partnership."
Claire Borrill-Bromige, Diversity and Inclusion Lead at Transport for London, added:
" TfL is proud to continue our journey as Leader partner with Women in Transport, fostering an environment where inspiration thrives, and opportunities are accessible to all. Our commitment to diversity and inclusion is unwavering, as we believe it is the driving force behind innovation and growth in the transport sector.
