Our valued members and supporters of Women in Transport, will know our incredibly talented executive support and events lead, Christine Hurley.
Over the past eight years, Christine has been at the heart of our organisation. The first point of contact for our members, sponsors and partners and affectionately known by the Board as our 'glue'. Christine has run an extraordinary number of superb events to support our members. During the pandemic, Christine has been at her exceptional best transitioning our regular face to face events to a packed programme of virtual workshops, chat sessions and webinars to keep our community connected and supported. As well as producing a monthly newsletter which I know our members have hugely appreciated at this difficult time.
In January, Christine was not her usual self. Thankfully, she sought treatment quickly and we hope that will be enough for her to make a full recovery. Christine stepped away from Women in Transport in February to concentrate on her treatment and recovery phase.
Christine is my dear friend and a valued colleague. It has been an absolute pleasure to work with her since she joined the team. Her passion, dedication and enthusiasm for Women in Transport and our mission is second to none.
Christine will always be a part of our Women in Transport family and I know that you will join me in wishing Christine a full and speedy recovery.
You will see a few new names over the coming weeks. We welcome our Executive Support team, Karolina Kuprescenkaite and Kerinder Bhogal, and volunteers, Victoria Parker, Matthew Regan, Gary Lincoln, Katie Lidington, Irati Salaberria and Charlie Barnes.
A huge thank you to all our volunteers for your continued hard work and support.
Stay safe and well.
