Women in Transport is delighted to launch applications for Advance 2022 - the fifth year of our mentoring programme designed for Women in Transport members by women in transport.
Women in Transport supports the legacy of the 100 Years of Women in Transport campaign by providing opportunities for personal development and career progression at all levels. Our Advance programme offers structured, professional mentoring for women working in transport.
The annual programme is open to any woman working in transport, in any discipline and at any stage of their career. Mentors can be manager level or above, working in transport, regardless of gender. Applications for Advance 2022 are open to Women in Transport members only.
The 2022 programme will be virtual providing flexibility for matching mentees and mentors. Both mentees and mentors will receive training to prepare for a successful mentoring relationship. Peer to peer networking and support is also provided during the programme.
Advance 2022 has been made possible by the generous support of TXM Group, Xanta, Network for Skills and National Express.
“National Express are privileged to be sponsoring the Advance 2022 mentoring programme as part of our new partnership with Women in Transport. We are committed to driving greater diversity and inclusion in the transport sector and recognise that supporting the professional development of women working in transport is an important part of making a positive difference to our sector.”
Daljit Kalirai, Sales Director, National Express Bus
“This work is at the heart of what we do and we are proud to support it. Advance is an excellent programme, helping to get more women into senior roles, something that is vital to the transport sector’s future success. We are proud to be a member of Women in Transport, and to be associated with both the Advance and Lead programmes.”
Iain Smith, Network for Skills
“TXM Group is incredibly proud to support Advance and the opportunity it gives to people who may not have the experience or professional networks to support their goals and ambitions, allowing them to grow within a professional, safe, open relationship.”
Gary Lincoln, Group Director, TXM Group
“The events this year have proven the need for us all to support each other and provide help and guidance where we can. Advance is just one of the ways that Women in Transport is creating connections for women to make the most of their career opportunities and work/life balance.”
Matthew Regan, Director, Xanta
