Visit to West Midlands Combined Authority Regional Transport Coordination Centre (RTCC) followed by networking & festive nibbles
We are delighted to have the opportunity for a guided tour of the Regional Transport Coordination Centre where teams from Transport for West Midlands, transport operators, emergency services including safer travel and local authorities manage disruptions to our network in the West Midlands and how collaboration between multiple partners improves the resilience of the West Midlands network.
The RTCC operates 24 hours a day. See live data feeds and CCTV that monitor the transport network. This includes public transport and roads. Great opportunity to appreciate what happens when things go wrong, and how the RTCC helps people get around the network using social media, website, text message and email alerts and real-time information screens at bus stops - collecting information about disruptions the system feeds the information to navigation apps like Google Maps.
Places for the RTCC visit are limited to 25 people so register now to reserve a place and make sure you don’t miss out We hope to see as many as possible for the networking session but please register to give us an idea of numbers.
