Site Visit and Networking Morning

Women in Transport are pleased to announce a co-branded, in-person, site visit with our wonderful corporate partners Tiger Trailers on the morning of Wednesday 13th November.

Please note that places on this visit are limited to 30 people.

The visit to the Tiger Trailers factory and showroom will include:

• An introduction from Alison Cartwright, Tiger Trailers

• An introduction from Joanna Hill, Northwest Regional Lead, Women in Transport

• A presentation from Sophie Lyden (“The Tyre Lady”), Westgate Tyres on her Fresh Drivers UK campaign, which is all about keeping young drivers safe on the roads, tackling ‘garage anxiety’ and breaking stereotypical perception of the tire industry towards women.

• A demonstration of a Lorry Simulator from the RHA and the chance to have a go on it yourself!

• Tiger Trailers Showroom Tour – showcasing one of their box van units. Note: due to shopfloor construction works, the factory tour will be replaced by a showcase of the factory from our viewing area (and will not require safety boots)

• A talk on the Gender Pay Gap from Amanda McAdam, Fleet Compliance Manager at J&M Murdoch & Son Ltd (and Women in Transport Advance Mentor)

• Networking over breakfast

So, if you fancy a go on a Lorry Simulator, having a look around a great local business, or simply enjoying some great company and a chance to network with like-minded people from the transport industry, why not come along and join us.

Parking is available on site and the nearest public transport is from Winsford Railway Station (approximately 1.4 miles away).

Parking is limited so please try and share a ride with a colleague or make other arrangements to travel to the site where possible. If you need a parking space, please indicate in the registration form.

PPE will not be required, but please wear appropriate footwear and clothing for inside and outside conditions.
