The West Midlands Women's Alliance* invites you to attend their inaugural event to celebrate International Women's Day.
The objective of this collaborative event is to encourage, inspire and discuss both the achievements and challenges for women within the transport, construction, and civil engineering sectors.
Speakers will include:
Rachel Skinner, Head of Transport (Planning & Advisory), WSP
Laura Shoaf Managing Director, Transport for West Midlands
Anne Shaw Director of Network Resilience, Transport for West Midlands
There will be group discussions and engagement with the keynote speakers around IWD themes that will include: challenging stereotypes, addressing bias, broadening perceptions and celebrating women's achievements.
Networking and nibbles will follow discussions
*This event is organised and supported by the West Midlands Women’s Alliance (WMWA), which has been formed by organisations supporting the development and progression of women within traditionally male dominated sectors. Members currently include: Women in Rail West Midlands, Women in Transport, Women into Construction, CECA Midlands, ICE, CiTB, Midland Metro Alliance, Morgan Sindall, Volker Fitzpatrick, HS2, WISE. The event is open to anyone involved in the transport sector and is free to attend. Registration is essential.
