THIS EVENT IS NOW FULLY SUBSCRIBED - REGISTER TO GO ON A WAITING LIST FOR A PLACE
The Emergency Response Unit of TfL was opened in May 1994 and has been providing resources to respond to an array of emergencies on TfL’s services and infrastructure ever since.
Women in Transport Members are invited to register for this fantastic site visit to the ERU depot at Acton in West London. The itinerary for the day will be:
0900 Welcome with Tea & Biscuits
0930 ERU presentation
1000 Q&A
1015 Activities
1200 Lunch Break (access to staff canteen or BYO)
1245 Tour / ERU exercise
1500 Close
Due to site constraints we will be limited to 20 places so get your registration in as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.
PPE Requirements
PPE will need to be worn for parts of the visit and, whilst ERU will provide coveralls and hi-vi vests it would be useful if you could bring your own safety boots (steel toecap). If you are unable to provide your own, please let us know as there will be a small amount available to borrow at the depot.
Women in Transport Members last did this visit in 2019 where we had members crawling under trains and observing demonstrations of the amazing services that ERU provide. Great fun was had by all so why not sign up for more of the same?
Access to the ERU depot at Acton is via the depot entrance on Bollo Lane, London, W3 8BZ.
This event is only open to Women in Transport members.
