We are delighted to welcome Jane Cole to this online event where she will be talking about and answering questions on her fascinating career of more than 20 years in the transport industry.

Here’s a brief introduction from Jane:

“ I'm the Managing Director of Blackpool Transport, the award winning, major bus and tram operator for Blackpool and the Fylde Coast. We operate bus and tram services, offer rail replacement, event management and Park and Glide services.

“Leading a successful passenger transport business requires a customer first attitude and strong inter-personal skills, extensive industry knowledge and the ability to develop and grow the people in your team.

“I am a Transport Professional with Fellow membership of the CILT and am the President for the Confederation of Passenger Transport for 2021/22.

“I have the honour of being the President for the North West Lancashire Chamber of Commerce for 2020/22 and Chair of the Common Purpose Advisory Committee.

“I am a non Executive Board member of the outstanding Blackpool and Fylde College and act as a coach and mentor for young people and aspiring leaders.

“I have successfully delivered business transformation programmes that are aligned to delivering strategic business aims and local transport plans and I was recently voted Business Woman of the Year at the Northern Enterprise Vision Awards.

“At Blackpool Transport we want to deliver exceptional transport services to all our customers, our team, our partners and stakeholders which is why we are all so passionate about everything we do to deliver the best journey experience for everyone.

“As we move towards 2021 we have the vision at Blackpool Transport to continue to grow and develop our work in the community and with our stakeholders to make Blackpool and the Fylde Coast a great place to live, work and visit.”
