The Scotland hub is delighted to host Sarah Boyd, Managing Director at Lothian Buses for a new on-line session of 'An Audience with...'. During the session, Women in Transport members will have a unique opportunity to hear about Sarah's career and current role.
As Lothian’s Managing Director, Sarah Boyd leads the organisation working closely with the company’s senior team to deliver strategy, direction and leadership. Enthused by public transport and with over 20 years in the bus industry, Sarah joined Lothian in 2013 as Head of Operations, before becoming Operations Director in February 2017.
Sarah believes that people are at the heart of transport and it is under her leadership that Lothian strive to deliver a people centric world-class, sustainable public transport service for Edinburgh and the Lothians. In her wider commitment to sustainability Sarah’s stewardship will lead Lothian in the development of an ambitious strategy which incorporates plans for all routes, vehicles and depot infrastructure to achieve Net Zero.
Previously Scottish Chair of the Confederation of Passenger Transport, Sarah is also a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Logistics & Transport.
Sarah is passionate about the role Lothian plays within the communities it serves and is proud to lead a diverse, inclusive and progressive people led culture that is at the forefront of evolving technologies and practices within the bus industry’s movement towards zero-emission travel.
