Lunch and Learn - Yorkshire regional hub

We are holding our first lunch and learn this will be delivered by Gary Frost from City of York council this will be about his career journey along with talking about why more women are needed in the industry from his experience. Also you do not have to be from Yorkshire to join this lunch and learn it is open to all.

Gary Frost is a Chartered Engineer with approximately 40 years in the industry.  His  key skills lie in the delivery of major highways and infrastructure projects working in both public and private sectors.

Gary Frost was appointed to this post in 2017 and has assembled a team undertaking the portfolio of major transport projects for City of York Council.  Through his career Gary Frost also spent 20 years serving in the Army Reserve as a military engineer working on engineering and railway tasks around the world.  Along with his enjoyment of the twists and turns of projects this has provided experience of leadership and team working in a fast moving environment, sometimes in pressurised situations.

Gary Frost has been invited to talk about his own career path, which has been far from standard.  He would like to demonstrate that we all take different paths, and that’s fine, but also relevance to the notion of the need to increase the number of women in transport and engineering.
