Join this site visit to Shepherd's Bush Bus Depot to learn more about Transport for London's bus operations, the move for London buses to become more environmentally friendly and the technology to achieve this.
The Zero Emission Vehicles Project Manager will explain the current electric vehicle technology running at Shepherd’s Bush and the two-phase project RATP Dev undertook to enable the depot to run 65 electric vehicles. This will be followed by a site tour to show the electrical infrastructure and engineering workshops.
As well as looking at EV technology and objectives, this site visit will give you an insight into working in a London bus depot, demonstrating what 'business as usual' looks like. It will touch on operational and engineering functions, and you will hear from women in a range of roles at RATP Dev, including their Managing Director, Catherine Chardon.
